Honeymoon (Wednesday - Thursday)
Angela and I attended an incredible luau at the Kalihana Plantation. The food was great, Angela tried Poi and she hated it, lol. Anyways, the show was great, the dancers were really talented. We really enjoyed the fire dancers as well.
We spent of most of Wednesday on the beach or in the pool. Angela mastered the breaststroke and is getting really comfortable in the water. I still haven't been able to get her in the ocean but its a work in progress. We had a blast in the pool, we also had no idea that our fun would lead to really painful sunburns. Both Angela and I were sunburned, Angela was worse off than me. Because Angela did so well swimming I treated her to Sushi at a restaurant called Kintaros. She had a bunch of weird sushi rolls, I think they had salmon, trout, humpback whale, cat, and sea otter...... I don't eat sushi ha ha.
Since both of us were still looking like tomatoes when Thursday rolled around we decided to take a drive around the island. We drove to Princeville and Hanalei which is on the Northside of the island. In fact, the highway we were on ended in the small village of Hanalei. The drive was so beautiful, filled with lush green jungles, rice fields and incredible beaches. Our drive lasted about three hours and we finished it at a burger joint called Bubba's Burgers.
Our trip is going by way too quick which is sad. It will be tough saying goodbye to the tropical climate and the beach on Sunday.

The Honeymoon So Far. (Sunday Through Tuesday)
Angela and I left Las Vegas Sunday morning for the beautiful island of Kauai. We had a 6 1/2 hour flight that was somewhat miserable. We were stuck in the back row (the Willis section) and there was absolutely no room whatsoever. Angela slept in my lap and her face was pressed against the seat in front of us. When we landed in Lihue the airlines lost our luggage, so we waited for the next flight to arrive which our luggage was on.
Angela and I took a nice drive to Poipu, which is on the south side of the island. For some reason I had it in my mind that we were staying at the Marriott Waiohai Beach Club. When we checked in I found out how stupid I was. We were actually supposed to stay in the Marriott Kalapaki Beach Club which is near the airport. So we drove all the way back to Lihue laughing the whole way. The drive was amazing though so we're not complaining.
Our hotel is a beautiful resort with the largest pool in all of the Hawaiian islands. Angela and I went swimming in the pool on Monday and I got Angela to walk on the beach barefoot. I was very proud of my wife, who isn't comfortable swimming, she got into the pool and swam around without hesitation. My goal is to get her to swim in the ocean, we shall see.
It rained all afternoon on Monday which was a bummer, but it was nice. Angela and I just stayed in and watched a movie. On Tuesday Angela and I ate at Subway and then spent the rest of the afternoon swimming. Tonight we will be going to a Luau where we will eat a lot of food and watch Polynesian dancers.
Stay tuned for more.
